Is Nimble itself ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified?

No. Nimble Manufacturing holds none of those certifications. The shops in our vetted partner network hold them, and we route your work to a shop carrying the registration your programme requires.

Can I get a first-article inspection report or material certs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tick them on the quote request and they are priced into the job rather than discovered later. First-article inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and other supplier-issued quality documentation are reissued under Nimble's name — this keeps the identity of the shop that made your parts confidential. Material certs and finishing certs are issued and kept by the original vendor.

What processes can you cover?

CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, metal 3D printing, surface finishing, and die casting. Multi-process parts are managed as one job with one point of contact.

Question 4

What files do you need, and can I check mine first?

Accepted Answer

STEP or IGES for geometry plus a drawing carrying tolerances, finish, and inspection call-outs. The quote request renders your STEP or IGES in the browser first, so you can confirm the export is right before anyone quotes it. DWG is not accepted.

How fast does a quote come back?

Accepted Answer

24 hours for most parts. Complex assemblies and multi-process builds can take longer — we tell you the same day if that is the case rather than letting it go quiet.

Is there an instant online price?

Accepted Answer

No, deliberately. An automated number that ignores your tolerances, finish, and inspection requirements is a number nobody can stand behind. A person reviews the drawing and the price you get is the price we will hold.

What quantities do you take?

Accepted Answer

One prototype through production runs. The shop we route to changes with the volume, which is the point of working through a network rather than a single facility.

How do I check the status of an order?

Status updates come by email from your sourcing contact at each milestone until the customer portal opens. For anything urgent, email quote@nimblemfg.co with your PO number.
